On 7th april 2011, Samsung (France) held a press conference to reveal its plans for Samsung Bada 2.0 phones. This south korean Smartphone manufacturer has big plans for the future. This conference was held to promote Bada 2.0 platform and announce the details about next Wave handsets.
Samsung’s Bada Os powered phones might not have performed very good in 2010 in race of smartphones with Android and iOS, but the sales numbers are very good according to Samsung. With over 8.8 million phones and 2.1 million smartphones, Samsung France is quite happy with total making of 10.9 million units. Samsung Wave 8500 was highest in sales number with 1.2 million sales in france. Android is ruling with 31.3% market share, but Bada OS is not quite behind. It has reached upto 3rd place with 20.1% market share, after 20.5% of Apple’s iOS.
Samsung’s future plans indicates selling of 5.5 million phones and 6 million smartphones in 2011. Samsung hope to dominate 25% market with Android or Bada, and 5% windows smartphones. David Eberlé, Vice president of Samsung France, announced their plans to launch 3 new bada powered wave handsets by end of 2011. One of these 3 is already announced, Samsung Wave 578 NFC Phone, and other two are not yet named. Here are the details of the 3 next set of wave phones:

All these models to be released in coming months of 2011, are having NFC support, like we found on Samsung Galaxy SII. With promise of adding more than 10000 apps in Samsung AppStore before year ending, downloads of Samsung Apps may exceed 50 million by the end of the year.
